Summer 2022 Honey Harvest

Throughout late summer, the bees were capping honey frames in the harvest box. As beekeepers, we do frequent hive inspections to ensure the health of the colony throughout the year. This year proved to be tasking with the severe Texas drought and the shorten blooming period in the Spring and Summer where bees usually collect their nectar and pollen.

As our blueberry plants and vegetables on our farm suffered, our lady bees came through and still thrived. We only harvest about 50% of the honey frames from our colonies because we believe in sharing the goodies with our ladies. Even so, we managed to harvest about 80lbs this summer and the honey are consistently delicous tasting like they always do with the various wildflowers around farm.

We have completed bottling them. Please text me at 281-766-8230 if you would like to purchase our 1lb bottle for $8 each. They are great for baking and natural sweeteners your favorite beverages. The honey will crystalize because they are raw, unheated and unprocessed. Just place the bottle in a warm bowl of water to liquidfy and enjoy!
